The Bunker Doors are Open: 72 Seconds v0.1 is Live

Posted by Jozef on: 2026-06-06

After 10 months of building our custom C++ engine from the metal up, the first public demo of 72 Seconds is officially live.

We didn't want to build just another RTS. We wanted a persistent, roguelike strategy experience that feels fast, responsive, and intense. We've spent months obsessing over the combat and the engine performance, and now we need you to help us balance the simulation.

What you can expect in v0.1:

Roguelike Extraction: Every unit death is permanent. Build your veterans with care, because once they're gone, they stay in the dirt.

Tactical Skirmish: A pure, raw tribute to 90s-era RTS execution.

Custom Engine Tech: Designed from the ground up for low latency and high-performance, cache-efficient combat.

We're putting the final polish on the mechanics now, but we aren't just looking for testers. We're looking for the first group of commanders to help us define the rhythm of the extraction. We're a lean, independent team, and we aren't building this in a vacuum.

Go download the demo, push the engine until it screams, and let's see what we can build together. Your feedback is what will decide our roadmap for the next 10 months.
